I'm running this prize draw to raise money for Many Tears Animal Rescue.
When we decided to raise money for Many Tears Animal Rescue, we wanted something that would appeal to all animal lovers and something that would be sentimental for the winners to keep.
When I first approached the artists, I was scared I wouldn’t even get one artist that would agree to help us, it was a (((BIG))) ask.
We now have eight amazing artists, their work is unbelievable, all of them are so talented.
8 lucky winners will win an amazing pet portrait, you will be randomly matched with one of the artists.
What an amazing gift this would make for a family member, or friend, you could enter them into the prize draw on their behalf as a Christmas present.
Even if they’re not one of the lucky winners, you would be helping a charity to continue the amazing work they do and saving so many dogs lives.
The pet portraits would be a lovely prize to anyone with a beloved pet, or someone that has sadly lost their pet over the rainbow bridge.
I’ve had a few people mention if now is the right time to try and raise money for a charity so near Christmas and with everything that is going on in the world?
I would say they need our help more than ever and so do all the dogs.
Eight artists have not only given up their time and talent for free, they’ve given up a few weeks wage to help us and for that, we can’t thank them enough. ❤️
Hopefully raising money, making people aware of the amazing work Many Tears Animal rescue do and changing one dogs life, or helping a dog find their forever home.
Just one click was all it took back in August for Rufus to be living in his forever home, I’d not heard of the charity until that day.
By you sharing on Instagram, Facebook, work, friends and family, you could be making all the difference to all of those dogs waiting for there forever homes.
Anything you can afford to donate, we will be forever grateful. x

Back in August I clicked on a suggested instagram page in my feed, it was for Many Tears Animal rescue, and it was like the saying? The rest was history.
By the next day I’d already shown interest on their website for a few dogs. On the Sunday I received a phone call from Julie, Rufus was in a foster home being looked after by her. After a long chat it was agreed we could go and visit Rufus the following weekend, as long as our home check had the all clear.
I was excited and really nervous at this point, if everything went ok, we would be bringing Rufus home with us that weekend. We had no idea how Claude was going to react to Rufus, Claude is such a mummy’s boy.
We were already warned how nervous Rufus was, he was the most nervous out of the 3 of them that Julie was looking after. As soon as you would get near him he would run away, but as for Claude, Rufus did everything he could to get Claude’s attention. He didn’t get much back from Claude, but as first visits go, it went well.
I looked at Russ waiting to see what he thought? He gave me a smile and nodded his head with a yes. It was definitely love at first sight, if only we could say the same when Russ first met me.
Claude and I went out to the car, I couldn’t watch them trying to catch Rufus, 10mins later Rufus was being carried out by Russ, Claude’s face said it all. For the next few days Rufus didn’t come out from under the acer tree. We kept a training lead on him to make it easier for us to catch him. I now know why so many of Many Tears Rescue dogs need to be re-homed with another dog.
If it wasn’t for Claude it would have been so difficult to get Rufus outside and back into the house, so much of his progress was down to Claude.
Due to the heatwave at the time, Rufus spent most of the next few weeks hiding in his favourite spot. He would follow Claude around the garden and watch how Claude would interact with us. I remember them first ever playing together and the first ever kiss Rufus gave Russ. ❤️
Weeks turned into months, came playing with toys, trusting us, loving eyes, cuddles, getting himself into trouble, being the annoying younger brother, fun walks, stopping off at the pub, haircuts, dog training, Claude accepting that Rufus was not just here on holiday and he was here to stay.
It’s taken time, patience and love for Rufus to become the puppy he always deserved to be.The day we picked Rufus up I promised him we would try and raise some money to help go towards other dogs finding their forever homes too.
We need to thank Many Tears Animal rescue for all the amazing hard work they do and to Rufus for coming into our lives, our family wouldn’t be the same without him, I think even Claude would agree with that now. x
