Every summer, the Maidstone River Festival transforms our beautiful town into a vibrant celebration of community, colour, and joy. From the thunderous cheers during the iconic Raft Race, to the foot-tapping rhythm of live bands echoing along the riverside, to the breathtaking fireworks display lighting up the Kent sky – it’s no wonder the River Festival is known as Maidstone’s biggest free event.
But here’s something you may not know:
👉 It’s entirely volunteer-run.
👉 It’s funded purely by donations.
👉 And it needs your help.
Why We Need Your Support
In a time when so many public events are becoming ticketed or disappearing altogether, the Maidstone River Festival stands proudly as a free, inclusive, family-friendly event. It belongs to the people of Maidstone – and to everyone who visits and falls in love with its charm.
