Sheffield Green Councillors have been making a real difference across our city - help us elect more Councillors in the May elections!
I’m standing down as a Sheffield councillor in May when my 1 year term as Lord Mayor also ends. It’s been an amazing experience helping and supporting local people as a ward councillor and I'm hoping you will help elect more Green councillors on May 2nd!
Sheffield’s Labour-run council are still not listening to residents. They shut you out of decisions often made before consultations are held. Labour claims that street tree felling was “a last resort” have been proven to be false with affordable maintenance solutions now being found for most trees.
Labour councillors are told how to vote, and are suspended if they rebel. Green councillors aren’t afraid to represent your interests and will stand up for you in the Council.
Labour currently have 53 of 84 city councillors. The Green group is 6 with two more elected a year ago. On May 2nd you have the opportunity to elect more Green councillors to provide credible alternatives and effective opposition. Greens care about residents in wards they represent, and never take your vote for granted. You can reduce the Labour majority to establish a direction of travel for Sheffield to be run with new energy and ideas in the very near future.

The Green Party are funded by members and supporters. We don’t have the backing of big business or trade unions. This means that we are free to put the needs of people and planet first. We don’t owe any favours to big organisations. It also means that we rely upon volunteers and the generosity of individual donors. So we hope that you can help
