Maggi Stokes 1947 - 2025

Aim

To help give our Mum the send off she deserves

Many of you have kindly asked how you might be able to contribute towards our mother’s funeral, and we have set up this Crowdfunder as a way to do so.

Our beloved mother, Margaret Irene Stokes, known to many as Maggi, was born on 16th April 1947 in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. Throughout her life she lived in many places, including Singapore, and became well-travelled, gaining friends and experiences all over the world. She sadly passed away on 25th August 2025, and will be laid to rest at  St. Nicholas Church, Itchenor on 25th September, a place that held a very special place in her heart.

Maggi dedicated almost 30 years of her life to serving the church and the wider community. She gave her time, care, and love to so many — especially children and families — touching countless lives with her kindness, faith, and generosity. She was a devoted mother, a friend to many, and someone who truly made a difference in the lives of others.

All donations will go directly towards her funeral expenses so we can give her the farewell she deserves. Should there be any funds left over, they will be donated to the British Heart Foundation, a cause close to our hearts.

We are deeply grateful for the love, support, and kind words we’ve received during this difficult time.
