Made For Television is a short film from Bournemouth Film School that needs your help to raise money ahead of production.

Chuck Bridges, host of American late-night television's "The Tonightly Show", is preparing for the next recording. His guest: Senator Lance - an authoritarian politician, who Chuck has publicly criticised. However, ahead of the recording, the studio have replaced Chuck with an identical clone. On the night of the recording, with the clone and Lance ready to execute the plot and fool the public, original Chuck comes back for revenge...
Made For Television is an ambitious, large-scale project. One way in which your funding will help to realise this is that with your financial support we will be able to build the set for the television studio in which the film takes place. With the money to be able to buy the necessary materials, the film will have all the gloss and glamour one could hope for from an American late-night show!
Additionally, the film will involve a crew of dozens, a significant cast, and many exciting flourishes that come with the story: from music, to costumes, to VFX. You can help us fund all of this with your donations, bringing together a wide range of people in collaboration on this project.
This short film is a project from Bournemouth Film School whose award winning productions have been recognised at competitions and film festivals internationally, including the Student Academy Awards. Alumni have gone on to success winning prizes at Cannes, BAFTA and the Oscars.

I first heard about 'Made For Television' from the writers months ago before the summer of 2025. At that time its television studio setting, high concept use of science fiction genre elements and captivating central character were all attractive. They struck me as containing heaps of cinematic potential and made me eager to join the team. I remain as enthusiastic about these elements of the film now as I was then, but what has changed is that the film's political and cultural relevance has become increasingly apparent and refined through the many drafts of the script. It is an important, timely story that I feel proud to be a part of telling.
As we prepare, in this fundraising stage, to enter production, I am immensely confident in the film's potential to succeed. But, in order for that potential to be realised, we need your help. There are so many incredible, ambitious elements to the project and they can only succeed with proper funding, which is why we will be so grateful for any contributions you can make. In giving money to the project you will really be providing the next generation of filmmakers with the resources to prove their enormous talents and enabling them to succeed in this film and beyond.
So, please: take a look at the many rewards we have on offer, follow our journey with the film on social media, support us however you can, and we look forward to showing you what we're able to achieve thanks to all of you.
