Aim
To Raise Money to help fund our 10th Taproom in exchange for 150% of your pledge in food and Drink.
We are Mad Squirrel Brewery, brewing from the foot of the Chilterns, Hertfordshire. We pride ourselves on continued evolution, with a focus on quality, innovation and exploration.
Back in 2005, we started our brewing journey, in Hertford. 20 years later we are returning to the town where it all began to open our latest addition to our taproom family.
We currently have 9 taproom locations and we are adding Hertford to become our 10th. (Opening December 2025)

We have secured a new site in Hertford Town centre located opposite the new Lea Wharf development, that was previously occupied by the Snug cocktail group. The new bar will have a complete makeover featuring our award winning beer, locally sourced food menu and beer garden to enjoy in the summer.
Hertford Tap
The New Hertford site will replicate our taproom model that we have developed since 2013.
- It will Feature 16 Taps of Mad Squirrel Beer and a range of guest beers.
- Fridges filled with a range of small pack to drink in or takeout.
- Locally sourced food menu featuring our Raving dough pizzas & sides
- Large range of Craft Gins and Spirits
- Fine wines
- Cocktails
- Secret decked Garden with cover and heating in the winter.
The Target & Rewards
We are looking to raise £10,000 to help fund the furnishings, 16 Tap bar with a fully operational kitchen.
As a reward for investing we are offering free beer. For every £10 you invest, we'll give you £15 to spend in the Hertford Taproom. That's 150% of your pledge back in beer and food.
An Exclusive T shirt for all pledges at £100 or more.

- Only Available to Spend at the Hertford Taproom
- Can only be used to purchase to drink and food for consumption on site. Can not be used on anything to takeaway
- The reward can be used on any drink or food item in store
