MACS Support Group

Aim
The MACS Support Group helps people who are self-isolating or vulnerable to COVID-19 by delivering essential items to their homes.
The MACS Support Group (covering Murthly, Airntully, Caputh and Spittalfield) was set up in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that people in vulnerable groups or self-isolating can receive food, basis household supplies and prescriptions at their homes, and get letters and parcels posted.
By the end of April over 30 deliveries had been made by unpaid community volunteers, which is a testament to our community spirit.
This project will raise funds for the four villages to help with expenses incurred by the MACS group and spent in the community on Covid-19 support where needed. If any funds are left over it will be distributed across the villages after consultation.
(For clarity – All contributions go directly into the Murthly Village Hall bank account. From there all transactions monitored and audited.)
