22nd June the atmospheric surroundings of King Edward Mine ,Cornwall is the venue for an exciting live art event that needs funding...
On the evening of the 22nd June in the atmospheric surroundings of King Edward Mine in Troon , Cornwall a unique live art event is taking place . The performance is part of the celebrations to Mark the tenth anniversary of Cornwall's mining World Heritage status being awarded to all post industrial sites across the county in 2006.
The event will include projections of video based animations , as well as live interaction by performers with a specially composed soundscape .All will be played out in a unique UV lit environment of the pre existing stamp shed (part of the original working tin mine where the ore was processed prior to being taken off for smelting.)The event is unusual in the sense that no performance like this has ever been performed in such an environment before (plus access to the proceedings will offer a special limited entrance on the night to the first fifty tickets sold!)*
'A 'Sonic Light' event from psychic explorers ; The Frankfurt Noise Dept.. Based on Jonathan Hayter's original visual arts project ;Minescapes and playing out in the Stamp Shed at the mine the event is a partly improvised journey through , myth, archetype of the significance of Cornish mining past and present. Using projections and specially composed sound track played live ....the projections and sound promise to deliver a taste of another world...'
As a company of five artists producing this unique take on Cornwall's mining heritage we are looking for a small production financial input of a £1000.00 to finance building costumes and props , publicity, as well as pay for public liability insurance for the event too.
All the money raised via crowdfunder will help build 2 costumes , pay for paints , and individual items to construct the props as well as some shadow puppets to be used in the performance. The artists are giving their planning and preparation time freely to this event because they want to see it happen.A separate collection from ticket sales on the night will pay for their contribution to the performance itself. The performance is being videoed and the unique record will be displayed on line at a future date . If you help to contribute to this event you will be sent a link to view the results on line .....
please contribute now ! Rewards for your contribution are as follows;
for every £10.00 received you will have an opportunity to have your name added to our sponsors listing on the publicity for the night .
For every £20.00 received you will have to opportunities open to £10.00 subscribers, but may also be randomly selected to receive a Giclee print of original artwork related to the 'Minescapes ' project by artist and performer Jonathan Hayter
