Ludgvan Ladies FC - A new women's team!

Aim
Establish Ludgvan Ladies in the Cornwall Women's Football League.
Where we started
Between the lockdowns a group of women approached Ludgvan FC looking for an opportunity to connect with people in the community and play football. Many hadn’t played before, some hadn’t played since school, and almost all had never played an organised game.
Where we are
Since starting out in 2021, the ladies have trained every week with minimal kit and equipment, learning the sport and growing the women's game within the community.
Originally there were regularly 10 or 12 ladies coming to training , but our number has quickly grown to around 20 strong, with 14-16 players training week in, week out.
The club is proud to have maintained the original group whilst also recruiting new players, even without the promise of league or cup games this season.
Where we're going
As the team grows, so does the need for equipment and kit.
We aim to register and compete in the Cornwall Women's Football League for the 22/23 season, but to do so we will need some help - and that's where you come in.
What we need
From you? Support with funding to buy the following items:
- Matchday tracksuits
- Pre/Post-game tops
- Training equipment (bibs, cones etc.)
- Match balls

What we think
Ludgvan FC is excited to provide an option for local women to be involved in sport where before there were limited options. The addition of a ladies team further supports Ludgvan FC’s ambition to grow sport in the community and provide genuine opportunities for everyone, no matter age, race, gender or experience.
