Join us in helping St Mary’s Bryanston Square recover from the flood by restoring classrooms & bringing Christmas joy to our children.
On 25 September 2025, a burst 9 cm water main caused severe flooding in Enford and York Streets, W1. Our school, St Mary’s Bryanston Square, was badly affected — around 50% of the building was damaged, including the entire Early Years classrooms.
Water poured into the school, destroying classrooms, offices, our main reception, learning materials, toys, books, computers, printers, and more. While Enford Street is expected to reopen by 16 October 2025, repairs to the school are likely to continue until Easter 2026. Many local businesses, residents, and St Mary’s Bryanston Square Church were also heavily affected by this disaster.
Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our senior leadership team, pupils from Nursery to Year 4 have recently returned, while Year 5 & 6 are temporarily continuing their learning at the wonderful Gateway Academy. Much of the school remains partially accessible, and the Early Years classrooms are currently unusable.
