Aim

With your amazing help, we can continue to enhance the mental & physical wellbeing of women who may be struggling due to hardships

What do we do?

The Love Me Wellbeing Programme and follow-on Oasis Hour aim to offer up to 80 women a year, aged 18–75+, who may be struggling financially; dealing with illness; experiencing low moods, a family breakdown or bereavement; managing life as full-time carers and more, the opportunity to improve their mental and physical wellbeing by: reducing stress and anxiety; increasing positive emotions; and enhancing confidence and self-worth.

"The Love Me programme provides all the essential elements for nurturing your mental, physical and emotional health. It’s wonderful and incredibly easy to follow with results that make a real difference..." – Chrissie Wellington OBE, four times Ironman triathlon World Champion and Global Head of Health and Wellbeing, parkrun

What is our impact and how is it being measured?

"This programme helped me to cope with a stressful period in my life and I feel without it I could have had a breakdown." – Tess, participant

Over the first year, we have successfully seen the wellbeing of participants increase significantly – Using the Warwick Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale, the average score moved from 44–53, an increase of 9 points (For this measure, any increase greater than 3 is deemed very good). Stress and anxiety levels reduced, using the Perceived Stress Scale, for all participants from an average of 9 points, and resilience improved, using the Brief Resilience Scale, on average from 13 points to 15.

How will your generosity have an impact on what we do?

This campaign provides a wonderful and unique opportunity to give the gift of wellbeing, and for many participants, your generosity can help to provide a lifeline, hope and empowerment to enable them to overcome and rise above a challenging season in their life.

Your pledge today will provide our project with a huge boost and enable us to run our Winter and New Year programmes (spanning 12 weeks) with the following costs being covered:

Facilitators: £1240 (Our 9+ facilitators are highly qualified and deliver on the programme for a fraction of the cost they would for their normal classes – With your help, we can ensure they, and their families, stay well balanced and healthy too by rewarding them in every way we can for their valuable time and input)

Studio Hire: £400 (The bright, beautiful double-studios at LiveWell Kew offer the most amazing space for us to the deliver the programme. Your kind gift today, can guarantee us this space for future programmes)

Directors Administration, Planning, Marketing, Evaluation: £300 (There are so many hours that are currently being given on a volunteer basis to the programme. In order to ensure it's sustainable, we know it's important for these costs to be factored in and budget for – Your generosity will help to sow a seed towards this as we continue to grow)

Inspirational Handbooks, Motivational Postcards & Supplies: £60 (Each participant receives an inspirational mini handbook, with hints, tips and points to consider, along with a set of encouraging and motivating postcards, covering the 7 Wellbeing Steps to help embed the principles shared throughout the programme)

"This programme has brought self-love, friendships, confidence and joy back in my life. I have felt so relaxed, nurtured, safe and inspired." – Laura, participant

Why is what we're doing innovative and valuable?

The programmes share a range of evidence-based activities over the course of 6 weeks, led by a group of 9 highly qualified women: a West-End Dancer/Choreographer; Fine Artist; Women's Health Specialist; Life Coach; Sustainable Stylist; Former International Athlete and Accredited Yoga Teachers.

The activities (including: dance; pilates; yoga; breathe & stretch; block-printing; marbling; origami; life coaching; sustainable styling and more) help to enhance wellbeing, alongside an innovative 7 Step approach, with accompanying daily messages and illustrative videos created to embed the key principles.

It is run at a pioneering social prescribing centre, LiveWell Kew and offers free, donation-based and subsidised places. Women can be referred on to the programme via their GP, introduced via local organisations/charities we have links with, or they can also join independently.

When and How do we need your help?

The project has seen some amazing results and has been designed to be replicated. We would love the opportunity, with your kindness to help another 80 women and to continue growing. Today, you can help to make this possible by:

1. Making a pledge. Your support in this way can sponsor women on to the programme and help to transform lives.

2. Spread the word. We would love for you to tell your friends and family about our project – Perhaps they would like to help too?

3. Offer a rewards. If you are a local business, we would highly value the opportunity to partner with you! Could you offer a reward via this campaign as an incentive for us to gain more support – Which in-turn, would help to promote your work and maybe discover new customers too?

4. Fundraise for us. So far we've had soup evenings, Christmas decorations and drawstring bags being handmade and sold... Fundraising is a wonderful and uplifting opportunity to bring people together, especially at this time of year, for an inspiring and valuable cause!

Thank you, you're so amazing!...
