Love Welcomes is fundraising to pay for a trauma specialist so we can expand our team and support asylum seekers in our training sessions.
Love Welcomes provides meaningful, compensated work to refugee women who generate beautiful consumer products from humble materials.
We work in 3 ways:

What we want to achieve with this Crowdfunder:
We want to create an economic infrastructure so that refugees can support their families and offer a positive way for society to engage with refugees in love.
The work and pay give the women a sense of productivity and purpose, reducing despair and raising self-esteem. The products raise awareness in the world of the common humanity we share with refugees and the value of welcoming all. The profit from the sales of the products is used to provide key services to the community including conversational English, digital literacy, financial literacy and legal meetings.
How we will spend the funds raised:
The money raised will allow us to do 2 things:
1. Train and hire more refugee women in our London workshop through our Asylum Seeker Project. This will allow asylum seekers, who are unable to work, to join a community and train. The funds will allow us to hire a part-time social worker and trauma specialist, and begin working with 10 asylum seekers per quarter.
2. We will be able to hire new refugee staff in our London workshop and promote our current staff.
