We are an anti-racist movement, bringing together people who share our values of opposing racism, celebrating diversity, and building unity

On the 8th January 2025 we'd raised £880 with 15 supporters in 84 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We believe in the power of music and culture to bring people together, inspired by the legacy of the Rock Against Racism movement.
Love Music Hate Racism (LMHR) was founded in 2002 in response to the rise of the BNP, and since then, we’ve organised hundreds of events—everything from large festivals to local gigs. Our Luton group started in 2008 as a stand against the EDL and local racist marches. While it was disbanded in 2012, we’ve relaunched this year, recognising the urgent need to combat rising racism in the UK.
With the resurgence of the far-right and a growing atmosphere of hostility, LMHR’s mission is more crucial than ever. We’re dedicated to fostering unity through peaceful, vibrant music and cultural events, bringing communities together to celebrate diversity and stand firmly against hate.
We’ll be hosting events that highlight multicultural unity and oppose those who seek to divide us. Musicians, performers, and supporters are all welcome to join us—your involvement makes a difference.
Your donation will help cover essential running and event costs, allowing us to continue this important work. Together, we can show that Luton won’t tolerate racism.
