The Black Box Belfast

The Black Box is about to celebrate it's 18th Birthday! 

The Black Box is run by a small team of hugely passionate staff and volunteers. As a non-profit and charitable organisation, it has become increasingly difficult to ensure we can keep doing what we do best, bring great artistic and cultural experiences to our wide ranging audiences. In the last few years COVID-19 recovery paired with lack of a sitting executive and increased cost of living has made it a tough environment for the charity sector, particularly arts and cultural spaces. 

Our focus is on securing the future of the venue.  Money raised through this campaign will be used to safeguard the future of The Black Box, and go directly to supporting the venue and artists we work with.

Over the last 18 years, The Black Box has created a unique space for emerging artists and cutting-edge music and performance. We're somewhere that actively makes room for artists to take risks, for marginalised people to express themselves, and for us all to connect and learn with each other. We've had so many amazing performers grace our stages and so many nights to remember. We are asking you to help us make sure this home we've made together is still here for us all for years to come.
