Lords to Alvanley Stump Relay
We did it
On 13th November 2024 we successfully raised £680 ( + est. £118.75 Gift Aid ) with 32 supporters in 42 days

To raise funds for much needed new sights screens at Alvanley Cricket club

Alvanley Cricket Club is a second home for many during the summer months including Toby, Robbie and I.  Its not just for those adults and juniors who train and play there, but also the families and friends who come along to relax and support the club.  Who knows, maybe one day, Haze will play there too; after all, stranger things have happened...

...like Kev making it onto the pitch at Lords !! But that's exactly where this is all going to start.  From the home of cricket, over six days from 15th to 20th October, on foot, by bike, by kayak and by hook or by crook, a relay of volunteers will carry a cricket stump over 200 miles back to Alvanley in Cheshire.

Day 1 - 15 mile walk to Watford

Day 2 - 61 mile bike to Bunbury

Day 3 - 76 mile bike to Wolverhampton

Day 4 - 20 mile paddle to Gnossal

Day 5 - 20 mile paddle to Audlem

Day 6 - 30 mile walk before tea and medals at the Alv !!

From the first moment the idea was suggested, I knew I'd volunteer to do the whole lot.  It's too much of an adventure to pass up on.  The route looks great, through some fantastic scenery; but it also looks pretty daunting, which is where you can help.  Any size of donation is welcome and will help keep us going when it gets tough.

Full details can be found on the main page linked above.

Thanks for looking.

Kev
