Long Eaton Cricket Club , with your support is trying to raise £100,000 to enhance our existing facilities.
We at Long Eaton Cricket Club have recently just celebrated our 50th Anniversary as a club since it was reformed back in 1972. Although the club was reformed back in 1972, there has been Cricket on West Park under the name of Long Eaton since 1844.

The club is currently growing in all areas both on and off the pitch. As a club we have three Saturday sides, a Sunday side, a Ladies Softball and Hardball side, a Veteran's side and the club offers Junior Cricket from All Stars all the way through to Under 17's.
The club has never had its own training facilities and we are in desperate need for them with the current expanding number of teams and playing members the club have. We are looking to build net facilities that are of a high standard so we can continue to invest back into our players for future generations to come. This, along with our exciting future plans will make us a more attractive club for players of all ages, genders and abilities.

It's glorious to see cricket being played throughout the summer especially within the local community. As a club we provide a space for the community to play, watch cricket and to be apart of an ever growing club.
The impact cricket nets would have for the club are gigantic, as it would continue the club's current great work in improving the current crop of core players and attract those who may improve our club. A permanent facility will allow the club's teams to become closer with regard to league positions. The club's current priority is to close the gap between teams to make them more easily interchangeable and to provide our younger players more opportunities to progress and develop. The 2nd XI and 3rd XI have started this by both getting promoted in the 2022 season.
With the club adding a hardball Ladies side in 2022, the growth of the club's facilities are key for us as a club to continue to improve and grow the number of sides. The aim is to have this facility as a training hub for all in the community to test, improve and give back to the local area.
Long Eaton Cricket Club has enjoyed working with the local community. The club has a great relationship with the local council who have heavily encouraged and supported the club with its development plan. The club has opened up to the local community to host events such as: beer festivals, local charity games, 6 aside competitions, local groups wanting to try the sport and a place for people of the local community to socialise.
Long Eaton Cricket Club aims to improve its infrastructure to enable the local community to get into sport, to develop their skills and add to a growing community and club group.

Long Eaton Cricket Club's main belief is to continue to support and grow the game of cricket. Such belief is surrounded by the recent event of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Prior to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, the country hosted the 2019 Cricket World Cup and global events like the Olympic Games in 2012 which provided exposure to a range of sports, which inspired a generation and left a legacy.
Funds that are raised towards the building of our facilities will provide a "High Performance Centre" for all to train and improve their skills. These facilities will help to improve all players to the next level of their development.
Long Eaton Cricket Club will work in partnership with an experienced installer of synthetic surfaces that are approved by the ECB. The chosen installer has over 27 years of experience in providing state of the art outdoor cricket net facilities.

Upon completion of the work, the club will look after and maintain these facilities to the highest of standards for years to come with further plans already being discussed. These facilities will give the club a new lease of life as it will give a platform for future growth.

The money that is raised will initially go towards getting the groundworks completed. Once the groundworks are completed the remaining funds will be used towards the installation the new net facilities.
