Aim
To raise money for Leukemia UK as part of my fundraising for the London Marathon on 23rd April
WIN A HEALTH & BEAUTY HAMPER WORTH £730!!*
This April, my best friend Esme and I are running the London marathon in aid of Leukaemia UK to provide support and raise awareness for a charity that funds crucial research towards beating leukaemia. All proceeds from this prize draw will be added to our fundraising efforts for the marathon.
We chose this charity because it holds such a special place with Esme and her family. She sadly lost her mum to leukaemia 8 years ago when she was 19 years old, and has experienced the devastation that this horrendous disease can cause to a family.
Her mum's illness cut her life far too short, and meant that she missed out on so much of her past and future lives. It had a devastating effect on their family and shaped her and her brothers into the adults they are today.
Esme’s mum, Sarah, was her best friend, and she still feels lost without her most days. She was fearless, inspiring, incredibly kind and unconditionally loving, taking everything life threw at her with a great sense of humour and unwavering coverage.
We are running in her memory, with hopes to raise funds for research and support that will help other individuals and families who are also going through something so life altering. Any support they received throughout the years, from friends, family, doctors, care workers and charities was an incredible help to them.
All proceeds raised from this prize draw with go to Leukaemia UK and will be massively appreciated.
