Running London Marathon for Minds in memory of my sons dad who died by suicide in 2025. Raising awareness, breaking stigma & saving live ❤️
I honestly can’t believe I’m getting the opportunity to run the London Marathon for Mind — a charity that does so much to support people struggling with their mental health. ❤️
As an NHS nurse, I see every day how important it is for people to feel heard, supported and able to ask for help.
This is incredibly personal to me. My son’s dad, Callum, died by suicide in May 2025. Just one week before my son was due to start his GCSEs, we received the devastating phone call that changed our lives forever. The impact of suicide on those left behind is something you can never truly understand until you experience it yourself.
I’m running this marathon in Cal’s memory, for my son, and for everyone who is struggling. I want to help raise awareness, break the stigma around mental health and hopefully help Mind continue to be there for people when they need support the most.
I know this is going to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done — especially starting from barely running at all! 😂 But having a reason so close to my heart will keep me going every single step of the way.
If sharing my story helps even one person feel less alone, or encourages someone to reach out for help, then every mile will be worth it. ❤️
If you’re able to support me and help me reach my fundraising target, I’d be incredibly grateful. 🏃♀️❤
