I am running the London Marathon raising money for The Chain of Hope
My name is Melissa I work for British Airways customer service team in Newcastle, to be able to take part in this event is a dream and being able to raise money for such an amazing charity makes it so much more special.
I have ran 2 marathons in the past year one in 4 hours 32miniutes and one in 4 hours 38miniutes, I am setting myself a target to complete this is under 4 hours! So between now and 26th April I am on a strict training programme to try and complete this challenge and raise as much money as possible for incredible charity. Any support on this would mean the world to me!
Chain of Hope was founded in 1996 to provide life-saving heart surgeries to children who would otherwise find it impossible to receive. Our vision is that every child, no matter where they are born, has access to the life-saving cardiac care they deserve.
Every penny raised in the London Marathon will go towards treating a child from a developing or war-torn country, or to fly our international volunteer medical team to a developing country to treat 10-20 patients during a mission.
Chain of Hope is funded entirely by the generosity of individual donations.
