THE LONDON COMMUNITY GOSPEL CHOIR EXPERIENCE DAY!
You are going to spend the day with LCGC!
You will spend the afternoon in a vocal workshop with choir principal and founder, Bazil Meade MBE. Prepare to have fun learning about the origins of gospel music and vocal techniques from one of the UK's prolific gospel music teachers.
After a break, you will join LCGC for their evening rehearsal, where you will become an honorary choir member! Indulge in the songs and sounds and vocal techniques of Europe's premier and most-loved gospel choir. You will then take part in a showcase, showing the choir and your guest the fruits of your labor.
As well as an unforgettable day with LCGC. Bazil Meade MBE will sign his book and an LCGC CD with a personal message to you.

The Cause
Our Charity, SOUL, provides choirs and singing workshops in schools, nurseries, care homes, hospitals and for those living with illness and disability. With a strong ethos of community, we are told weekly how beneficial our projects are. Here are just a few of the many examples;
*children have gained in self-confidence and their speech has improved at our TINY Sings
*vulnerable adults, those living with illness and disability, have seen improvements in their health and their memory
*school children have gained in confidence singing uplifting songs
*care home residents have become happier and more content after a singing session
*our daytime SOUL choir members have welcomed isolated people into their group, helping them overcome depression and grief and to feel part of their local community.
*by providing projects FREE for the local community ensures that they are accessible to everyone.
The following is an example of some of our projects and all money raised will go directly towards funding them:
- FREE daytime SOUL Choirs. For people who cannot attend an evening BIG Sing choir, giving people the chance to learn new uplifting songs and connect with members of the community, helping to alleviate social isolation. Each SOUL choirs costs our charity £325 per month.
- FREE TINY Sing groups. A chance for 0–4-year-olds to sing, move and play instruments along with a tutor. Followed by 45 minutes free-play, helping both children and parents to interact, form new friendships, support each other and helping to reduce social isolation. Each TINY Sing costs our charity £165 per month.
- FREE ELEVATE Choirs. Taking uplifting singing to those living with illness and disability. Sessions are adapted if necessary to ensure that everyone is able to take part and enjoy the therapeutic qualities singing and music can have. Each ELEVATE choir costs our charity £300 a month.
- FREE concerts for SCHOOLS. During the year we run workshops in schools for 4-6 weeks teaching children uplifting and inspirational songs helping them to learn how to sing and the art of performing. At the end of the workshops, we gather a number of schools together to join our BIG Sing choir for a performance in their local community, sometimes even with a special guest singer! These performances are always really special and enjoyed by everyone. Each project varies in cost for each area.
