Living Sport is raising funds to support the incredible work our #LocalJoes in keeping local people connected, active and well.
Joe Wicks was a national hero through lockdown – keeping people active and spirits up. He helped people feel connected at a time when so many of us felt lost.
We are privileged to work with hundreds of #LocalJoes. People who run walking groups, yoga teachers, football clubs, charities who provide classes for older people, and so many more. Day to day they are an essential part of keeping people connected, active and well.
Throughout lockdown they continued to help whenever they could - offering free online classes, delivering workout plans and equipment to people who don't have the internet, and fundraising for their local communities.
As lockdown is lifted our #LocalJoes will adapt again. And they've never been more essential; the pandemic has had a massive impact on the mental and physical health of local people and we know that being active is great for your physical and mental wellbeing.

The funds we raise will help us provide advice, support and funding to help our #LocalJoes adapt and reconnect with those most in need, when they need it most.#localjoes #localheroes
Throughout August the Living Sport team will be putting themselves through their paces to raise funds to support the incredible work of our #LocalJoes so they can adapt and reconnect with those most in need, when they need it most, keeping local people connected, active and well. We are all undertaking a physical activity challenge - here's a couple of examples . . .
