LLSRU Fundraising - 2025/26 season

Aim: Llwchwr Schools Rugby District Challenge: Sponsored Walk to their grassroots club in the district on 26/7 to raise funds for 25/26 season

Our Llwchwr District Schools Rugby Team are getting ready to 'STEP' into action as they prepare to 'tackle' the route between the grassroots clubs in the District to raise money for the 2025/26 season! 

The team will be putting their best foot forward on Saturday 26th July as they walk from Penclawdd to Dunvant via their grassroots rugby clubs along the way, with every player raising money to help go towards the 2025/26 season. 

THE PLAN? 

After lacing up their best walking shoes and filling their water bottles, the 25/26 squad will be starting at Penclawdd RFC where their mega walkathon will commence.

They will be visiting some of the grassroots clubs from the Llwchwr district along the way, including: 

Penclawdd RFC 

Loughor RFC 

Gorseinon RFC

Stopping at the infamous Llwchwr rock on Garngoch Common for an all important team photo, some water breaks and a chance to re-enact the famous battle of Garngoch (just joking.....) 

Waunarlwydd RFC

Gowerton RFC

Then finishing the walk at Dunvant RFC in the late afternoon for a much needed BBQ and disco where the fundraising efforts will continue! 

The route will be approximately 11 miles (just over) so it's a great chance for team bonding, fundraising and some core cardio fitness ahead of the big season this year! 

THE WHY?

This crowd funding page will hopefully generate funds to help go toward the costs for the season such as buses to away games, presentation night, training kit, winter facilities and more! 

The players are so proud to be selected for the Llwchwr Schoolboys squad, so they wanted to share that appreciation and raise funds for the season to really make sure that every player has the best season possible! 

We could not do this without the incredible support of the coaches, families, friends, sponsors and businesses who dedicate so much time and energy to making this an incredible season for these Boys and Girls.
