For over a century, Llanfairfechan Community Hall has been the heart of our town—a place where people gather, celebrate, learn, and grow. Our ambition is for this building to still be serving the community for at least the next 100 years. We want to offer a North Wales-wide cultural centre worthy of the 21st century, meeting diverse needs and offering fun for everyone.

The Hall has been run by a volunteer charity committee since 2011. The charity acquired the hall from Conwy County Borough Council at the end of 2024, after discussions about maintenance of the building.
The Hall is run by a committee of local volunteers and managed day to day by a member of staff. The Hall is financed through events, venue hire, donations and grant funding. Owning the building allows the charity to apply for grants, essential for the upkeep and maintenance of the Hall. We have been working hard to reduce our running costs, carry-out essential repairs, upgrade our heating to energy efficient heating and install solar panels. There is still more to be done!

Our Spaces
Our community venue offers:
1. A large main hall with fully functioning stage area which can accommodate 300 people
2. A medium-sized conference room for up to 40 people
3. A community activity room that offers a low-cost hire for up to 15 people
4. A new learning suite with IT facilities for up to 20 learners - a 'Multiply' hub for Grwp Llandrillo Menai
We currently support over 30 different charities and organisations, giving them a home for their meetings and activities. The Hall also hosts Llanfairfechan Town Council meetings and the Town Clerk.
Current users of the Hall range from 3 months old to senior citizens, getting involved in:
Arts and crafts classes, exercise classes, sporting activities and clubs, charities, live music, theatre, cinema, children’s parties, artisan market, local interest groups, veterans’ breakfast club, and a youth club.
The Hall also runs its own events for the local community. We relaunched The Luxor Community Cinema in 2024, 60 years after the original Luxor closed its doors at the Hall. This provides local residents with a 'big screen' experience and the opportunity to watch locally made films.
Why we are raising money
The building continues to need a lot of maintenance work.
We have agreements in place with a number of funders but would appreciate any contribution.
A Shared Future, Powered by Change
Llanfairfechan Community Hall is more than bricks and mortar—it’s people, connections, and possibilities. With your support, we will preserve its legacy, modernize its infrastructure, and ensure its doors remain open for decades to come. This is not just an investment in a building—it’s an investment in a thriving, united, and resilient community.
This is a significant project and we appreciate any donation you are able to give.
