The Living Rooms are literal warm spaces where people can come together to socialise and enjoy a free meal and hot drink
Oasis works in communities affected by inequality that impacts all
areas of life. We do this in a joined up way to create change -
economically, socially, physically and spiritually; with people of all
ages and all situations. We believe that things can change.
Where systems leave communities disadvantaged, we’re bold about
pioneering alternatives and trying new things. We’re not satisfied
with the status quo that keeps people trapped in poverty or,
constantly at risk of exclusion.
Our Vision is for community - where everyone is included and making a contribution. A Hub.

Oasis Community Hubs are deeply engaged within their local communities and actively partner with a variety of groups to ensure local needs are met. Particularly, we support the 52 Oasis Academies who are in the most deprived areas of the country and provide immediate and in depth support for the 30,000 young people and their families within them.

The 'cost-of-living crisis' is pushing more and more families into the poverty trap as they are forced to choose whether to heat or eat. Worryingly, we are seeing situations where entire communities are ravaged.
We’re already providing emergency food in many communities – and we’ll continue to do that, through our Foodbanks and urgent food referrals, demand for this help is already increasing and we are constantly running low on food. We recognise the need for longer term solutions to the problem of accessing affordable food. So, have stepped up our provision of social supermarkets – pooling buying power and using surplus food to reduce waste as well as cost. Our Oasis Community Food Stores help people pay less to feed themselves and their families well.
We have also opened up warm spaces, using all the buildings we can – our schools, churches, and community centres. Literal warm spaces for the winter – and spaces of warmth and friendship where everyone gets a chance to come for some fun, a hot drink and free meal.
These spaces are essential for all people young and old who can’t afford to heat their homes or prepare a hot meal.
Our warm spaces are places of community peer support, bringing together local knowledge and national expertise about what extra hardship and emergency help is available, as well as offering friendship and a listening ear.

There are currently 39 living rooms across England, which we anticipate will be accessed by approximately 20,000 families, helping them to keep warm and receive food either directly or through one of the Oasis run food pantries.
We are committed to ensuring all living rooms and food provisions continue to run at least until the Autumn and Winter months pass, with the possibility of extending beyond then. Any donation you make will help to ensure this happens
