Live Well North East - Fundraiser

Aim

To raise funds for all aspects of LWNE, our Boxing Club (Sacriston Community Boxing Club), The Live Well Centre and help with Covid Recovery

What is Live Well North East?

Live Well North East CIC is based in Sacriston and work around County Durham supporting children, young people and adults with physical wellbeing, mental health and emotional wellbeing. 

Live Well has been running a full programme of sessions since the beginning of lockdown and moved everything into the virtual world.  We have delivered over 800 virtual sessions, hundreds of wellbeing packs as well as supporting families in a one to one capacity. Most of these session have been free, subsided or low cost to ensure that everyone gets the support the need when they need it most.  

Why are we crowdfunding?

We have managed to get through this lockdown but now as we head into the transition period we need your help! Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have delivered each and every session that we normally would have, virtually, as well as extras! 

Within 24 hours of stopping face to face classes, we had moved our classes online, making sure our members were not left without support around them. We offered all of our services free for the first 3 months, completely removing the barrier of cost. Even when we re-introduced cost, we have always offered fully funded sessions for those most at need and subsidised the cost for all others as we are passionate about people accessing exercise and physical activity. 

As we have worked harder and harder to meet the needs of our community, support them to keep going, keep connected, keep active and keep well, our income has significantly decreased to to the pandemic. We are now looking to come together and work towards a positive recovery for us all as we move past this difficult time and look ahead to a bright path forward.  

Over the lockdown we have progressed well with the renovation of the Boxing Club (Sacriston Community Boxing Club) and with The Live Well Centre which will be due to open around April time.

How will we spend the money we raise? 

We need your help to bring The Live Well Centre and Sacriston Community Boxing Club alive, we are just a few weeks away from the centre being ready to open and now there is a lockdown roadmap we will be able to open soon.  

We need you help to support us recover and rebuild after a very long year with huge restrictions up on us.

Sacriston Community Boxing Club

The Boxing Club is ready to go with hanging bags BUT we need to refit the toilet area into a changing room, We need to get more bags hanging and look into a boxing ring.

Sensory Den and Zen Den

Our Sensory Den is almost complete but we do need more equipment to ensure we are able to provide more sessions as we will need to reduce our numbers to ensure we support social distancing

The Live Well Centre

The Live Well Centre renovation is moving fast and we aim to have a FULL timetable of sessions from fitness to support groups, from Relax Kids sessions to Resilience Bootcamp and SENsational. We will support all ages with a full range of wellbeing services and activities to support positive mental health for our whole community.

We need your help to raise vital funds to help us with interior of the centre, we will need tables, chairs, laptops for our 'Keep Learning' area and resource's for within the centre.  

We always run our sessions at a low cost and often provide funded spaces, we want to continue this and your help will enable us to do so and carry on our work.  Covid-19 has hit us hard like every other organisation and we need you to help us recover.

Our vision for The Live Well Centre and Sacriston Community Boxing Club is to have a place where our community are welcome, where they are listened to and help shape our future.  We are so excited to be creating this and we need your help to bring it all to life.
