Liverpool to New York

Aim

To take a group of diverse actors on a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform off Broadway

I want to take a group of my students/actors to perform in New York off Broadway for two weeks in September! I will direct the script by writer Helen tunnicliff! To rehearse, travel, accommodate, produce this life changing once in a lifetime experience we need a budget of £95000! That includes flights,transfers,air b an b ACCOMODATION, food, marketing, publicity, fliers, kit, pr, theatre hire, wages for six professionals! The cast of thirteen all have had trials and tribulations, they include, a lady who is deaf, a 17 year old midway transitioning to be a male from female, a child who has moved school several times due to horrendous racial bullying, a thirteen year old boy who moved hundreds of miles with his mother and sibling to a hostel to escape a violent father, a girl who lost a close relative to suicide, a lady who has had skin cancer is currently in remission, a child who has a sister with chronic medical issues, a twenty one year old man who was bullied and abused by family for being gay! They all have suffered,endured and overcome some horrendous situations,!! They are strong, independent, intelligent, focused, hardworking, eager, energetic and above all more talented then some professionals I have worked with! They are reliable, consistent and would never, ever get an opportunity to be seen on a stage off Broadway in a new play in NEWYORK,!! Some of them have never left this country! They could be enlightened, inspired, discovered even! It’s a huge task! I’ve done my research!! From insurance,production,international requirements,venues etc! FOR A MONTH IN SEPTEMBER THEY WILL REHEARSE,PERFORM AND CHALLENGE THEMSELVES! They are deserving! There are many more worthwhile charities to donate to I’m well aware, BUT YOU COULD EMPLOY PEOPLE IN THE INDUSTRY AND GIVE A GROUP OF ACTORS,OF MINE FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS THE JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME! 15 of us are putting in £1350 EACH SO £20,250 we will raise ourselves! Please donate,sponsor,support,invest in my LIVERPOOL TO NEW YORK PROJECT SUPPORTING PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY! From age 13 to 60,!!
