Fund Baby Handprint Kits for UK Bereavement Suites

Aim: Help us to fund Baby Hand and Footprint Memory Kits for Every UK NICU & Bereavement Suite to Support Bereaved Parents.

💛 Help us give grieving parents a lasting memory – and grow a small business with heart.

Every year, over 2,500 families in the UK face the heartbreak of stillbirth, and thousands more endure the loss of an infant in the early days of life. In these moments, there are no words that can heal, but a tiny hand or footprint frozen in time can hopefully, in time, offer a measure of comfort and a lasting connection to a child who left the world too soon.

We’re trying to raise £5,000 to create and deliver free handprint memory kits to every neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and Bereavement Suite across the UK - so no bereaved family ever has to leave the hospital without a keepsake of their baby.

Each £5 donation funds one high-quality kit, including:

• An animal-themed illustrated print (A4 or A5)
• A clean-touch ink pad (safe for delicate skin)
• A sturdy backing card
• A cellophane wallet
• An information sheet explaining how to use and preserve the keepsake

These prints are not just cards. They’re beautiful, frame-ready tributes - designed to honour a life lost too soon and give families something tangible to hold onto in the years ahead.

💙 Inspired by Dexter

This project is dedicated to Dexter, a beautiful baby boy who was stillborn in 2024. His mum reached out to us a few months ago after discovering our memory book, and told us how she wished she could have had something like that for her son.

Her words stayed with us, and since that moment, we have made it our mission to honour Dexter and his Mum, and this project is in memory of him.

This campaign is for Dexter. And for every baby like him.

💪 Why we're also entering a competition

As part of this Crowdfunder, we are also part of the “Built By Her, Backed By You” competition run by Crowdfunder and Muddy Stilettos - a nationwide initiative that gives female-led businesses the chance to win a £10,000 boost in cash and business support.

To qualify, we need meet our funding raising target and receive donations from as many supporters as possible. Big donations are welcome, but small ones are just as powerful - because this competition is about community.

So whether you give £3, £5, or £50, you’re not just helping us fund kits - you’re helping us grow something bigger.

🧡 Where your money will go

• If we raise £1,000 - we qualify for the competition and fund 200 memory kits.
• If we raise £2,000 - we fund 400 memory kits.
• If we raise £5,000 (our target) - we fund 1,000 kits for NICUs & Bereavement Suites across the UK.
• If we raise over £10,000 (our stretch goal) - we can:
  • Fund 2,000 kits
  • restock hospitals as they need new kits
  • provide kits for stillborn AND infant deaths
  • grow our business to develop even more memory and support products.

If we win the £10,000 prize, it will be split between:

• Funding ongoing production and delivery of the kits
• Expanding our small, female-led business to develop new products supporting families through loss, memory-making and early childhood
