Little Hobbits Forest School Nursery

Aim

Our aim is to open and run a fully outdoor Forest School Nursery, for children ages 2 - 4.

Hello There!

I am Sam! I am 27 years or 334 months old and I am a Primary School Teacher and Forest School Leader. I have always enjoyed taking my classes outside to learn, and over the years I have come to realise that the children would much rather be outside, happily spending the entire day out in nature, rain or shine!

I have a little boy called Harry who is part of my inspiration of doing this, he is 2 in January, or 22 months old. Since having Harry, I discovered even more so that children need to be outdoors for quality play experiences. No nurseries or child minders could provide this for him, so I am going to be offering an affordable forest school nursery experience for children ages 2-4 thought that I should give it a go!

I am going to open Wrexham's first fully outdoor forest school nursery! It will be called Little Hobbits. I will be aiming to open September 2020, and I am looking to fund this project through you lovely people at crowd funding, and through government grants and a business loan.

Anything you can give, will not only help me to realise my dream of running a forest school nursery, but will also give children in this area the best start to their young lives; a chance to play safely in a forest learning about their world with the best teachers.
