Since we opened a year ago we can't brew enough cask beer. We need your help to add another tank to our brewery!

This stretch goal will help pay for the ever-increasing cost of ingredients, allowing us to brew some more exciting beers into our new tank. We will also be able to make a few small brewery upgrades like a more powerful pressure washer and a pressure rated hop doser. Glamorous stuff I know but all these things help make better beer!
Thank you so much to all who have contributed to our Crowdfunder so far! There are only 4 days to go. If you want to help ensure the future of our lovely little brewery in Sneinton, please share and donate what you can!

For the first time contributors who would love to be an Acolight. Worry not, there will be an opportunity in the near future to upgrade to our Acolight program through a subscription. More info coming soon!
Liquid Light Brew Co was founded in 2017, making this year our 5th year as a business. Initially starting with a tiny 70 litre kit in our shed, we then soon progressed to cuckoo brewing at local full-scale microbreweries. We worked with Magpie Brewery for several years and even won the 2018 Indy Man Brew Con Thirsty Games, a prestigious award for new up and coming breweries.
It soon became evident, even during the pandemic that for the security of our business we needed to grow. Being a cuckoo brewer meant we fell through the cracks for a lot of the covid funding offered by the government, as it was mostly based on the business rates.
We are approaching the first anniversary of our expansion into new premises and the opening of our taproom. What a rollercoaster year! Some incredible highs seeing our dream come to fruition, and welcoming all our lovely customers into the space we’ve created which we are very proud of. Also, it has to be said, some very challenging times for the business. But with restrictions now lifted and the addition of the incredible Mocky-D vegan food vendor to our taproom we are now very excited for an amazing summer in our new home.
Since the pandemic, we have seen a shift in the industry towards cask over keg beers. This is great for us as we have always been a big fan of brewing hazy vegan-friendly flavoursome cask beer. However, despite the demand for our beer being high, we are struggling to produce the volume necessary to satisfy that demand and urgently need to increase capacity to future proof the brewery.
This is where you come in.
Sadly due to a particularly difficult winter season for our industry due to Omicron, we are struggling to secure funding for further expansion at the brewery. We are hoping to add another fermentation tank to our set-up, this will help us brew more regularly and increase our output to meet demand. This will also ensure we can produce enough beer to make up for the slightly lower profit margin that we make on our cask beers.
