Light Up Ongar Town with Christmas Lights

Our aim to 'Light Up Ongar' and spread some cheer this year!

Christmas 2020 will be different in a lot of ways but we would love it, if some important traditions can remain the same and if not better.

The annual switching on of the Christmas lights is a much anticipated event in our community of Ongar. To see the smiles and excitement on the faces of the children of the town is heartwarming. Although we cannot have an official turning on of the lights and we would like to make sure they get to experience our town lit up.

As you know, a lot of time and effort is needed to get the Christmas lights set up each year and we are forever indebted to the wonderful volunteers who do this work. There is also a significant cost to purchasing and running the lights and this is where we need the help of our community - both near and far.

Ongar Town Forum will continue their great work and put up what lights we have. But wouldn't it be wonderful if can add more. This appeal is to support the cost of lighting up our town this year and bringing some joy to our wonderful community in Town.
