To increase tennis participation and make it accessible to all by adding floodlights and a new building providing toilet and kitchen areas
Expenditure as follows
Oaklands Park has become a central hub for our work, with regular coaching programmes, free and low-cost community sessions, and inclusive activities delivered in partnership with local charities and disability groups. We also run social tennis, family sessions, and community events that help bring people together and encourage new players to get involved. However, limited daylight and basic facilities restrict participation, particularly in winter.
Our vision is to create a safe, affordable, year-round community tennis hub. Installing energy-efficient floodlights and a modest clubhouse with toilet and kitchen facilities and will allow us to expand coaching, run more community events and competitions, grow participation across all ages and abilities, and keep tennis affordable and accessible.
The funds raised will be used directly for floodlighting, electrical infrastructure, and essential clubhouse facilities, helping to secure the long-term future of tennis at Oaklands Park for the whole Chelmsford community.
