Aim

To raise the funds to record, mix, and release our second album, which is fully written, with John Parish mixing.

The Project

LIFTER are ready to bring our second album to life, a body of work we’ve poured our hearts into, which is fully written and currently being demoed.  We’ve secured five days at Humm Studios in April to begin recording. After this initial phase, we’ll continue with overdubs at J&J Studios in Bristol. We’re excited to have producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, Eels etc.) on board to oversee production and mixing, and supervise final album mastering for record, tape and CD. We can’t wait to share it with the world! We just need some help to cover the expenses of the recording, mixing and releasing phases.

The Band

Since our inception, LIFTER have taken pride in crafting our own recordings, handling all engineering ourselves. Now, to evolve both creatively and professionally, we’re ready to step into the studio. This will allow us to fully realize our artistic vision at the highest quality. Working alongside experienced producers and engineers will free us to focus on the music—shaping songs, sounds, and performances without distraction. Unlike before, when our DIY approach meant recording in pieces, we’ll finally capture a full set of material in one focused session, adding new dimensions to our sound.

Over the past few years, LIFTER have developed significantly, both creatively and professionally. A highlight has been establishing a working relationship with the acclaimed producer John Parish. After hearing our music, John immediately expressed interest, and we’ve since been in regular contact sharing demos, discussing creative direction, and meeting in person at rehearsals and live shows. We’re now set to collaborate on our next album, marking an exciting new chapter in our development.

Our music has gained strong recognition within the UK scene. We were featured on NME’s Best New Music playlist and have received radio play on Radio Soho, and Amazing Radio, as well as hosting a show on Noods Radio, helping us reach new audiences. We’ve also had the opportunity to perform at a range of festivals including Ritual Union and Simple Things. Additional highlights include supporting acts Wednesday, Daisy Rickman, Rose City Band, and bar italia, further expanding our live following.

In 2024, our work was recognised internationally when the UNESCO Crossings Institute selected us as one of the year’s most important releases. We’ve also built strong relationships with leading Bristol venues and promoters, including Bristol Beacon, Crosstown, Strange Brew and 1% of One, who have supported our continued growth.

Tour highlights include a full band tour in summer 2025 which saw sell out shows in Norwich, London and St Just, as well as a solo UK tour in April 2025, and full band UK tours in October 2024 (with Swelt) and May & October 2023 (with Death of Pop). We toured France and Belgium in October 2025.
