Please enter this prize draw to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of Carole Patilla.
The prize is a life-size wire sculpture made by renowned Yorkshire sculptor Susan Nichols. Susan created the sculpture for The Farewell Flowers Directory Ltd. and it was featured on their gold medal winning display at Chelsea Flower Show in May 2025.
It is unique.
The man's hand is flexible and could be bent to grasp something other than the flowers or the beer bottle shown.
There are two separate pieces, a man and a dog, and they go together to form the prize.
The sculptures will be delivered free of charge to the winner's home on mainland Britain.
The bench is not included.
My wonderful friend Carole Patilla died last month after a very short battle with cancer. I knew little about the disease before her illness and am organising this prize draw to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK to help with their research.
Carole was inspirational. She and I took funeral flowers to RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May of this year - the first time funeral flowers had been displayed there in the show's 112 year history. We won a gold medal and we had so many more plans to raise the damage done to the environment by the plastic floral foam used in the majority of funerals. Our display, needless to say, used no plastic of any sort.
The Man and his Dog sat peacefully on the display and were admired by thousands. They appeared on television and in so many magazine and newspaper articles . Now, you have the chance to let them sit happily in your own garden...
The prize draw is open to residents of mainland Britain aged 18 years and over.
