Life-changing back surgery for a Dad of two

Aim

After 4.5 years of constant pain & disability waiting another 18+ months for NHS surgery just isn't a viable option

After 7 failed interventions - 4 epidurals, 2 microdisectomies and a spinal fusion, about 9 MRI scans, 4 x-rays, a CT Scan and a SPECT-CT Scan I have been told that the spinal fusion I've had was unsuccessful and needs to be re-done.

I've been suffering with severe daily back pain since May 2019 when I slipped a disc.

At its worst I can't walk and I can barely get off the sofa.

At best I can drive my children to school and pick them up.

My life other than that is restricted to my house and occasionally managing to push myself to get my children out for lunch or dinner somewhere.

My work has gone from a flourishing magic business earning great money to picking therapy clients online here and there to make sure the bills are paid.

What I want more than anything else is to give my daughters their Dad back, they've spent the last 4 years having to be so patient, so kind and so compassionate waiting and hoping that I'll get better and it simply hasn't happened for them.

The private surgery is £24,560 and is booked for 2nd October, my family have said that they can empty savings or sell things to get the money from somewhere if I need it but if I could spread the cost so it is only a little amount from a lot of people rather than the other way around I'd feel a lot more comfortable about everything when my family have already dug incredibly deep for me already to support me over the last 4 years.
