Liberate The Lesbians

Aim: My partner and I need to flee to a place of safety and seek asylum due to persecution, fear of imprisonment or death due yo our sexuality

.my name is BRITNEY KIRABO ,and i am a lesbian woman currently living in Uganda.I am writing to share the fear,trauma,and threats i face daily because of my sexual orientation,and to urgently plead for evacuation and protection .Being a lesbian in Uganda has put my life in risky in a country where same -sex relationships are criminalized and deeply stigmatized.Uganda’s deeply rooted homophobia,reinforced by the government’s anti-LGBTQ+laws,has made it dangerous for people like me to simply exist.since I was outed by the community ,I have faced relentless harassment,threats and even physical violence.i was disowned by my family and evicted from the place where I ran to when nearby people ( neighbors)discovered I was in a same-sex relationship.i was assaulted by strangers on streets and started living in fear that someone could report me to the authorities at any moment .something that could lead to imprisonment.I have no safety,no legal protection,no way to live freely in my own country.my partner and I have been in hidings ,but hidings is not a life,we are simply trying to love and live as we,our only hope is evacuation to a country where we can live freely and safely together,I am not just fighting for my life but rather fighting to be with the person I live in peace and dignity.we are seeking urgent refuge protection-just the chance to live without fear
