Can you donate to our campaign to help us to reach as many voters as possible and get Lib Dems back in the South of Scotland?

Dear Friends,
We are optimistic that this will be a successful Year for the Liberal Democrats across the south of Scotland and see the return of at least one if not two List MSPs. This will give us the foundation to rebuild locally across the region as we prove we deliver for our country and communities.
In the summer I met and talked to many of you, and we have followed through on our commitment to be active, as growing numbers of us are out campaigning regularly.

The good news is, early signs indicate it is an election we can make progress and return MSPs. Voters are fed up with what other parties are offering and there is a chance to cut through, especially on the second vote (Peach Ballot). People want politics with integrity that is decent, compassionate and hard working. They are prepared to vote for us if we make the effort to connect with them.
More and more voters up to the age of 75+ are now using social media and we need to reach them with targeted messages that resonate. Alongside this, more traditional leaflets, and posters being delivered and where we knock doors our message has cut through. But to get our voice out there requires funds.
It costs us nearly £3000 to print enough leaflets to cover a whole constituency. Please can you donate to our South of Scotland campaign to help us reach as many voters as possible and get Lib Dems back in the South of Scotland.
If you want to get more actively involved in your area, to distribute leaflets, or to canvas with us – we always have fun doing this, then please do email [email protected] and we will let you know when and where you can get involved.
Thank you for your support, any amount of time or money you can give will really help us get elected and return local action and fairness to our politics once more.
Thank you and best wishes for the year ahead.
Yours Aye
Duncan Dunlop

Duncan's Background
Experienced: For 30 years I’ve stood alongside Scotland’s most vulnerable children, leading change that saw Who Cares? Scotland named UK Charity of the Year. My work has taken me from promoting democracy in Lithuania to tackling poverty in India and Ghana and building peace across the former Yugoslavia. I have advised government at the highest level and understand how to challenge and change systems that affect people’s lives.
Local knowledge: Growing up on a hill sheep farm, I understand the realities facing rural communities from agriculture, fishing and tourism to supporting isolated and vulnerable people. Working across the South of Scotland, I’ve helped establish and strengthen organisations from Citizens Advice Bureau to local charities tackling poverty.
The Peach Ballot Matters in this Election
Why vote Lib Dem on the Peach Ballot?
The peach ballot is the best way to elect a Liberal Democrat MSP for the region. You have two votes in this election.
• Your first vote chooses your constituency MSP.
• Your second vote (the peach ballot) chooses the party to represent your region.
The Lib Dems have delivered years of excellent service that you can trust. Support us to build back in the Borders and fight for our communities.
