LHR Movember Fundraiser

Aim
We want to bring colleagues together from across LHR to raise vital funds and awareness around men's health, in aid of Movember.
Freddie Hale has set up this fundraiser to raise funds and awareness for Movember.
Movember is the opportunity for people to raise money towards a powerful cause. Movember spreads the message surrounding Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer, Mental Health Awareness and Suicide in Men. In the UK alone around 12,200 men die from Prostate Cancer every year, 65-70 deaths from Testicular Cancer and the biggest killer in men, Suicide saw 5714 Suicides registered in 2024. On Average Men die 4.5 years earlier than Women. These figures show how much of an importance it is to spread awareness around the cause and to put a stop to these figures.
This Month as a Company there will be a Companywide Raffle taking place in aid of Movember. Movember delivers a message, a message for Men and Women to ally and come together to fundraise money for men’s health to show Men aren't alone and should feel comfortable to speak out about the true problems that men are facing on a daily basis.
This month you and your colleagues can make the difference by coming together to raise money and fundraise within the Heathrow Space. Men will usually start the month with no facial hair and try and grow a Mo, hence the nickname 'Movember'.
Although Movember is raising awareness for men's health, we want everyone to be involved. Why not be a MoSister by getting involved in fundraising events, speaking to family, friends or colleagues and be the support needed when times get tough. We all have men in our lives and let's come together to raise vital funds.
This year, the Heathrow Team are asking you all to get involved in any way possible. This will be a great opportunity for people from all areas within Heathrow to come together and send a powerful message to the wider community which’ll show that Men aren't alone and should not be worried about speaking about their problems.
Together we can be the difference,let's make this our biggest fundraiser yet!
