Aim
We are crowdfunding to "level the playing field", through a new girls' football programme at Fermanagh GAA over the winter.
Who are we?
Fermanagh GAA is a volunteer-led, community-based organisation dedicated to promoting Gaelic games, culture, and wellbeing throughout County Fermanagh. Our mission is simple — to inspire participation, teamwork, and pride across our county by providing opportunities for everyone to play and enjoy our national games.
Our clubs bring together players, coaches, volunteers, and families from all walks of life, creating a sense of belonging that stretches across towns and villages. We offer structured football programmes for children and adults, ensuring that every participant, regardless of background or ability, can develop their skills and love for the game.
Now, we’re ready to take the next step — to level the playing field for girls’ football in Fermanagh.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We’re launching this Crowdfunding campaign to “Level the Playing Field” by introducing a new girls’ Gaelic football programme this winter across Fermanagh GAA.
Our goal is to create equal opportunities for girls aged 12–18 to play, train, and thrive within the GAA community — and to encourage more female volunteers to take on coaching and leadership roles within the association.
With your support, we’ll deliver a 12-week programme of girls’ football, providing 2 hours of quality coaching each week. These sessions will focus on developing core Gaelic football skills, building confidence, improving fitness, and most importantly — having fun and forming friendships.
This initiative will also help us upskill our female volunteers through GAA coaching qualifications, ensuring sustainability and long-term growth in girls’ football across the county.
Your donations will directly support over 40 girls taking part in this new programme, many of whom will be playing Gaelic football for the very first time.
And there’s even better news — Sport NI will match every £1 raised up to £5,000!
Together, we can empower girls, build leadership, and make Gaelic football in Fermanagh more inclusive than ever before.
Community impact
This project is about much more than sport. It’s about empowerment, inclusion, and community spirit.
By focusing on girls aged 12–18, we’re addressing a real need for more opportunities for young females in sport — particularly in rural areas where access to structured activities can be limited.
Through this initiative, we will:
Empower Girls Through Gaelic Games – helping over 40 girls develop confidence, skills, and a love for football.
Develop Female Leaders – upskilling female coaches and role models within our GAA community.
Strengthen Community Connections – bringing families and communities together through shared participation and support.
Promote Wellbeing – encouraging healthy, active lifestyles and fostering mental resilience in a supportive, fun environment.
Build a Lasting Legacy – establishing sustainable girls’ football structures, equipment, and coaching capacity that will continue long after the campaign ends.
