Aim

An independent psychological short film exploring obsession, loneliness, and the fragile boundary between memory and reality.

Letters to Just is an independent psychological short film being developed as an MA graduation project in London.

The film follows James, a man unable to move on from a relationship that has already ended. After receiving an unexpected call from a woman he cannot let go of, he spirals into obsession, loneliness, and emotional dependency. As memory and reality begin to blur, he is forced to confront not only his past, but also the version of himself he could have become.

At its core, Letters to Just is a story about attachment, self-worth, and the stories we tell ourselves in order to survive loss. While inspired by psychological concepts such as anxious attachment, the film explores emotions that many people can recognise: waiting for closure, searching for reassurance, and looking for answers outside ourselves.

The project is currently being produced by a team of emerging filmmakers based in London. With support from our university, much of our crew and equipment are already in place. We are now raising funds to help secure locations, source props and production design elements, cover transport and catering costs, and bring the film to the highest possible standard.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps us move one step closer to bringing Letters to Just from script to screen.

Thank you for supporting independent filmmaking and for being part of this journey.
