Aim

We need to support our work across Lambeth, supporting survivors of domestic abuse through our sessions and programmes.

Our local community in Lambeth is a large, diverse community. Like other London boroughs it has problems around poverty, violence and drugs, but there are many people here who want to make life better for themselves and others. We want to support women to create the best lives possible for themselves and their families, whether that be by enabling them to leave unhealthy relationships, or by helping them find their strengths and increasing their confidence and independence.

Our Women's Programme Lead, Lisa, is herself a survivor of domestic abuse and has worked within this sector for a number of years, creating and delivering very successful programmes under another C.I.C within the borough of Merton.

Our Youth Programmes Lead, Anjee, is a former teacher who worked with young people with behavioural problems. She has worked in this sector for the last 6 years, also creating and delivering programmes for young women, promoting empowerment, leadership and resilience.

Our wellness lead, Chikita Preddie offers a wealth of experience within teaching, meditation, massage and a range of holistic practices and offers our attendees a chance to reflect and reset at each session we hold.

We are very lucky to work alongside a wide range of volunteers, practitioners and organisations across our borough and beyond to offer a full range of immediate support services to our attendees.

We currently run free wellness days Tuesdays from 11am to 2pm, which we have been widely used and well received. Through these sessions woman have been able to access on the day support for a variety of matters such as housing, finance, medical and legal to ensure they are in a better position and more empowered to move forward post abuse and trauma.

We wish to continue our very successful programmes throughout 2026 and develop our sessions to be able to offer 9-5 drop in support for women and children in need, five days a week.
