Young Champs - Let's change British Tennis!

Aim

We have 2 big aims: 1st to change the perception of British Tennis & 2nd, keep the children around Larkhall Park, Stockwell playing tennis!

Who are we?

We are Young Champs, a London based Tennis charity who have been getting children from under-served communities playing Tennis, for over 10 years. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are crowdfunding as it has been a really helpful tool to help us with our mission: making Tennis affordable so ALL children can play. Partnering with G Tennis (UK LTA Park Provider of the Year 2022) we have a unique business model with tiered pricing so everyone has the opportunity to play. 

We have unearthed some amazing talent, with children in the Surrey county squad and others with aspirations of being coaches one day. 

Young Champs has also launched a national campaign called ACE: A Chance for Everyone which asks clubs and venues up and down the UK to open their doors and have an affordable offering in their programme, to give children a chance to progress who might not normally be able to afford it. 

With over 20 venues signed up already ACE is already bearing fruit... clubs offering free memberships, free coaching to talented juniors and offering court time for children to practise. This is how Tennis becomes an inclusive sport and opens up. 

If you are interested in helping us take this project to the next level then we would love your help. We need influential, high profile people in the Tennis world to help.

How we’ll spend the money raised...

We will spend the money on 3 things:

- Offering free and heavily subsidised coaching to local children.

- Supporting our rising stars to stay competitive.

- Support and up-skilling local Teens on their coaching journey.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
