When selecting who will perform in front of the top agents, how far will a performing arts teacher push one of their desperate students?
Hello!
We're a group of students, graduates and professionals making a short film that will be filmed at Bristol Old Vic Theatre in early April.
This film explores just how far a drama teacher will push to get a performance out of one of her students from a broken home; in order to win her a chance to perform in front of the top acting agents and escape.
Established Actress Deborah Cornelius is attached to the project and will be playing the teacher, Miss Kilzier, whilst Katy Carmichael has kindly offered to help us with casting.
Choral composer Kirsty Martin has also given us permission to use her arrangement ‘My Eyes Are Opened’ in the film.
We need to raise a small budget to help us cover the costs of the film, and should you be so kind as to donate to this crowdfunder, it will go towards:
-Equipment
-Paying Actors
-Travel and Food Expenses
-Film Festival Entries
We hope to enter the film into several festivals and donors will be given a special thanks at the end of the credits.
Thank you!
