We are aiming to create a feature-length documentary on the late Mesolithic culture and archaeological site of Lepenski Vir in Serbia.

My colleague and I have spent many years working in the field of documentary filmmaking, with a special focus on history, and the pattern of human progress. A few years ago we both worked on an internationally award-winning documentary called 'Quest for Vinca', which pushed us into the international scene of documentary-making and historical investigations, looking at a neolithic culture from over 7000 years ago!

Combining our skills of screenwriting, filmmaking, post-production, and academic qualifications as professional artists and historians, we have managed to create a well-balanced and cohesive partnership that helps us reach out to a variety of different audiences from across the world, with a dynamic and artistic style.

We are currently looking to produce a new documentary on the Mesolithic site of 'Lepenski Vir', a whirlpool of history, potentially dating back some 10,000 years and an important archaeological site for understanding some of the fundamental origins of European culture and heritage, which will hopefully showcase to the world the importance of this amazing meeting point of East and West.

We plan to interview multiple academics, as well as visit the key sites relating to this amazing culture. We already have great contacts in Serbia, and other localities in the Balkans, which will aid us in producing an exciting and historically balanced documentary that will not only benefit academics by showcasing their work in this area but the public as well, by bringing everyone a little closer to this exciting period of human development.
