Aiming to beat the Land’s End – John o’Groats – Land’s End. Solo cycling Record, Set: August 27th, 2010.
I am aiming to ride the LEJOGLE cycling Record, Set: August 27th, 2010.
Distance: 1 880 miles. Time: 5 days 21 hours 8 minutes Av. Daily distance: 324.1 miles
In the past I have set the Guiness world records for 7 days (2825km) and the month (10481km) so I have the history and pedigree in achieving these distance records, We also made a previous attempt on this record and was ahead of schedule until I started having knee issues and was forced to abandon, the lessons learned from that attempt along with the confidence that these numbers are doable has certainly motivated me to come back and get it done this time.
The reason that I'm crowdfunding for this attempt, firstly I am looking to raise money for the charity M.I.N.D a cause close to my heart as mental heath was something that affected my late mothers later life, so a great cause. also to help cover the cost involved, the main ones been the hire of the vehicles needed, a camper van and also to the costs of feeding the crew who are absolutely vital in the potential sucess of the record.
Your help with this would be amazing, and you could also say that you had a part in beating a world record that has got to be one of the more difficult ones out there.
