Empowering young people with special needs to connect with nature, learn about the environment, and take action against climate change.
Element Society is an independent youth charity based in Sheffield. Our charity is proud to be youth-led, meaning that the young people we serve are the driving force behind all of the projects that we deliver. Funding raised from AVIVA will allow us to provide young people with special educational needs the opportunity to connect with nature and the outdoors, fostering a love for the environment. We partner with schools like Talbot Specialist School and Bents Green School, offering a cost-free program that includes transportation, food, and engaging workshops on plant and animal identification, photography, and art. Beyond nature exploration, we educate participants about climate change and empower them to make positive changes in their lives and their families', such as recycling and reducing their carbon footprint. Our goal is to bridge the gap between these young individuals and nature, creating informed and environmentally conscious citizens for a sustainable future.
