Lawson's "Sea to Summit" triathlon for WSJ 2027

Aim

I am raising £3000 to represent 2nd Seascale Scouts, Cumbria and the UK at the World Scout Jamboree in Poland 2027

Scouting is a big part of my life, I have been a member of 2nd Seascale Scouts since I was 5 and am now a young leader for the 4-5 year olds. I have been selected to represent Cumbria and my Scout group at the World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027 as part of the UK Contingent. 

The Jamboree is a unique global event, bringing together young people from over 170 countries and promoting international friendship, leadership, teamwork skills and education. This is an amazing opportunity and I have started a fundraising journey to get there. The funds I raise will also enable Scouts from developing countries to attend the Jamboree, ensuring a diverse, inclusive and truly global event. I have been making crafts, mowing lawns, writing letters and helping at events, but I wanted to do something big to challenge myself and really embrace the scouting spirit of adventure! 

I am planning to complete a "Sea to Summit" triathlon, staring out in Seascale and cycling 9 miles up the valley to Wasdale, where I will paddle England's deepest Lake, Wastwater in my canoe and then climb England's highest Mountain, Scafell Pike.
