We want to raise enough money to build a raised safety pit at the end of the trampolines for children to learn new skills landing into foam
The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for millions of British small businesses and sports clubs, making it very challenging for them to survive. We are one of those businesses and we need your support!
Launchpad Trampoline Gymnastics Academy have been going since 1981. We deliver trampoline and gymnastics sessions to children in a disadvantaged area of Hull with a high number of our members in a low socio-economic group and so fundraising is already very challenging. Having lost use of our previous venue we have worked extremely hard and opened up our own training facility, but we still have many things to do in order for it to be fully fit for purpose.

We have members that are recreational through to elite performance and have members represent Great Britain, but we are a club for all and let anybody attend regardless of ability.
We have sessions for people with special needs as trampolining helps to develop balance, strength and coordination and is particularly helpful for young children and those with balance and movement conditions such as dyspraxia.

We also work with our young people to develop leadership skills and have a young leaders program helping them to become qualified coaches.

Our preschool classes are a wonderful way of getting children involved in healthy exercise from as young as 18 months. The classes are developmental as well as being fun

We have had a significant loss of income due to the pandemic, not only from the loss of training fees due to our closure, but also from the cancellation of our competition league which is our main yearly fundraiser. This has seriously affected our plans to build a safety pit for all members to use to learn new skills. To be covid safe, coaches need to be socially distanced from the children and so we are not currently able to physically support children , making the use of a pit even more crucial for children to make progress at this time.
We are crowdfunding so that we can raise money to build a raised foam pit which will give the local community the chance to safely try new skills into the foam with a soft landing into the foam.
It can be used by members of the club having weekly lessons and also the local community at our casual sessions where they may be attending just for fun or by the local primary school who visit us for a series of lessons.
We are applying for Sport England "Active Together" match funding. If successful Sport England will add to the money we raise to make our total even bigger!
This means that any donations made through this crowdfunder are worth more to us than a simple donation straight to the club.
As a thankyou for donating, we have some great prizes and awards that you could check out in the prizes and rewards section
Sport England: Active Together has provided £4,000 of match funding
