Support Underserved Young Founders in Dundee

Aim

We're aiming to raise crucial funds that will go into supporting young people & our charity's operations at our Dundee hub in Scotland.

For over 25 years, Launch It has supported young people from underserved communities to start and grow their own businesses. We’ve helped more than 12,000 young people turn ideas into income — from streetwear brands and cafés to tech and creative start-ups.

Based in category B listed Kandahar House in Dundee transformed into a refurbished business and creative centre, Launch It Dundee supports young people to turn bold ideas into sustainable businesses. 

Rooted in Dundee, a city shaped by its industrial heritage, maritime legacy and bold spirit of reinvention, we champion the next generation of makers, founders and innovators. From jute and shipbuilding to publishing and design, Dundee has long been a place of ingenuity and transformation and today that legacy continues through its world-leading games sector, growing tech ecosystem, fashion and advances in life sciences.

Through subsidised workspace, training, mentorship and practical support, we help local talent thrive, connecting Dundee’s heritage of craft, engineering and creativity with the emerging industries shaping its future.

Across our hubs, we transform empty or underused buildings into affordable, supportive workspaces where young people can launch their businesses. Through our two-year incubation programme, they receive practical training, mentoring, peer support and space to grow at a pace that works for them.

Many young people face barriers such as unemployment, lack of confidence, limited networks or nowhere affordable to work. Launch It removes these barriers and supports young entrepreneurs to build sustainable futures.
