Aim
To launch Unknown Macc CIC, creating an Ian Curtis audio tour and community mental health spaces in Macclesfield
Unknown Macc CIC has been created to honour the legacy of Ian Curtis and Joy Division in a way that gives something meaningful back to Macclesfield.
Before we can deliver projects such as an Ian Curtis audio walking tour, mental health spaces and heritage initiatives, we need to build the foundations properly.
This fundraiser supports the essential setup of the CIC, including:
• Website development
• Branding and design
• Governance and compliance
• Insurance and professional costs
• Early project planning and consultation
Putting these foundations in place allows us to move forward responsibly, transparently and sustainably.
Our longer-term aim is to develop heritage-led tourism initiatives alongside accessible mental health and creative spaces within the town.
This initial fundraiser will help cover the set-up costs of Unknown Macc CIC, including the website, design work, and early development of the project.
If we exceed our target, additional funds will go towards producing an Ian Curtis audio walking tour of Macclesfield, helping fans discover the town’s musical heritage while supporting future mental health initiatives
All income generated will be reinvested back into Macclesfield.
