Aim

We need some help to get Larry’s Holton off the ground.

Here goes!

Hopefully a lot of you know us well and are aware of our company values and ethos. We’ve had a rollercoaster year and with your support both with funding some of the repairs (at last count we've spent over £8,000) we've had to make and with the amazing custom we continue to receive. We’ve come to the point where the building blocks are in place to explore expansion.
A fantastic small team is in place to run the trailer 7 days a week throughout the year and is now starting to trade at a small profit. Fingers crossed nothing else breaks….

Our Vision is to initially open an additional site (Holton road) and take on one of the medium sized empty units, refurbish it to a good standard ourselves and get it open hopefully by January 2027. It will be open longer hours into the evening and with the relevant agreement from local council in place it will be alcohol licensed. There will be a good selection of food and like the trailer most of what we sell will be sourced from local small businesses.

Adam the owner has lived in south wales for over 20 years now and is passionate about regenerating the town centre in Barry. We want to be part of the solution.

Recruitment will be a huge part of the business going forward. We want to reach those furthest away from the jobs market. (Long term unemployed/first job candidates seems the right place to start) we’ve already started this with our current recruitment.

We have a full business plan and financial forecasts in place and are in discussions with different organisations for support both in terms of making a viable long term business plan and identifying any financial support available.

Larry's are ready to take on somewhere. But costings are increasing all the time and we are seeking some help to fund some of the initial refurbishment and recruitment costs as the money isn’t all there yet. Summer has helped we just need a little bunk up. Any money raised will be more than matched with the businesses own funds.

Some will read this and feel it’s not right for a business to ask for funding like this, we understand. But we think that the benefit that will be achieved with a new independent vibrant place to hang out, have a drink, watch a local artist, and work from will truly be worth it. We aren’t blessed with investors or part of chains with huge financial backing. We are a small business looking to use other small businesses and the community we are part of to help lift the local area.

Please feel free to chat to Adam who would love to explain the plan in detail with anyone.
